242
Creating this piece was more of an emotional journey than a technical one. I rarely have the opportunity to create works like this; however, reading the description of this challenge inspired me to create something personal.
242 is an expression of the home I grew up in. Over 200 years old, she's been battered and bruised, yet still, her beauty shines through. This setting is a typical day in Long Island, Bahamas; pick some fruits, kick back with a cold one, and enjoy the breeze!
Over the years, I realized that a home has less to do with walls and paint and more with the space you share with friends and family. It connects the past with the present and is a beacon for the way forward. Welcome to my home; welcome to the real Bahamas!
